TV Format Consultant

I am a TV development consultant, specialising in non-scripted returnable formats and features.

With a small development team, it can sometimes be a struggle to have somebody on staff with specialised returnable format or features experience. This is where I come in.

With over 15 years TV experience, I’ve worked as a development exec for some of the UK’s biggest and best TV Production companies. Prior to that, I specialised in producing ‘first series’, taking pitch decks from the page to the screen, developing and formatting them as I went.

So if you’re looking for that killer twist or format point that will turn your idea from a ‘pass’, to one a commissioner cannot turn down, then get in touch. With years of format experience under my belt, it’s my speciality.

TV Pitch Decks

I can help you transform a top line idea into a deck a commissioner will love. Or I can take a fully formed deck and sprinkle it with killer format points and add that unmissable ending.

I am incredibly flexible on how you wish to work, and can provide a service for all budgets. As a basic guide however, my day rate is £330.

At one end of the scale, I could spend a single day on an idea, for which you would receive a summary of brilliant format points and suggestions for your team to write up into a deck.

At the other end, I can take a single idea and turn it into a multiple page deck, containing everything from episode breakdowns, to suggested locations and talent.

I can produce multiple versions for different channels/streamers and timeslots if required. Knowing what makes something more ‘8pm’ than ‘9pm’, or more ‘ITV’ than ‘ITV2’, is something that only comes with experience.

Short contracts or funded development

If you have received funded development, or are looking for someone on a short term contract to work up an idea, then I can help. You may need a safe pair of hands to secure access, do detailed research to stand up an idea, or develop the topline into a fully-fledged series.
